Transparency of Agricultural Supply Chains

The Savanna ecosystem is radically transparent and focused on empowering smallholder farmers to become full and equitable participants in the agricultural supply chains. Equity and empowerment of smallholder farmers must be based on principles of open data and transparent transactions throughout the value-chain.

Consumer Awareness

Savanna provides the tools and opportunities for consumers to be fully aware of the food supply chains that feed them. There is little or no consumer awareness of the provenance of food. Information
regarding food metrics such as quality, nutritious value, indigenous crop availability, age, journey and health are non-existent.

Logistics and Transportation Infrastructure

Savanna will implement a logistics and transportation system that drastically reduces post-harvest loss and is efficient and transparent. Transportation services will be distributed under an ‘as-a-service’ model and available equally to all farmers, distributors, processors and wholesalers.

Smallholder Farmer Identification and Investment

Savanna will provide a digital platform that captures and offers financial digital identity and history of farmers to investors and financiers.
